Yoga is the Mindfulness Practice
“Yoga is not an External Experience. In Yoga we try in every action to be attentive as possible to everything we do… As we perform the various asanas we observe what we are doing and how we are doing it…”
_ T.K.V. Desinkachar, The Heart of Yoga
Just for being focused on any given object, such as your breath turn your mind to the present moment. Not on the past, not on the future.
Once you focused your mind into the channel of the breath, the movements of your physical body get you into the asanas (postures) and to feel, observe, and be present with all your senses it is what makes Yoga such a mindfulness practice.
Yoga is not about to create expectations to get into an advanced asanas or be super flexible.
Yoga is the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind.
The mysteries of the self are as deep and wide as those of the universe. I hope the practices that I am about to teach and guide you will lead you toward your own innate balance.
